The Washington Leadership Meeting (WLM) serves as the first step each year in implementing annual strategic work plans to achieve NAFSA’s strategic objectives, ensure strong regional activity, and develop professional development resources and events.

To allow for travel time and a one and a half hour check-in/security check (security lines at BWI and IAD average 30 minutes during rush hour), please book your return flights as follows:
Do not book your hotel room. NAFSA will book all rooms on your behalf based on your registration preferences.
We ask that you share a double room. If you prefer a single room you will be charged the price difference of $110.00 per night during registration. Single rooms will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
NAFSA will only reserve hotel rooms for WLM dates. Any additional date requests unrelated to WLM will need to be made separately with the hotel and are not part of the WLM room block rate.
Most meals will be provided on-site as listed below on the schedule. For all other meals, including while you are traveling, you can claim reimbursement of a pre-set per diem on your travel reimbursement form after WLM.
